We all went to NZ for Christmas and Iz got really excited waiting for Santa.
She likes dressing up…
A trip to the zoo was a hit too, with her good friend Benjamin.
And back to Nanna and Grandads for some r & r.
She loved picking blueberries for a few hours one day (5kg!) and found her sport: horse riding (chip off the old block). Even managing a trot!
Helping grandad blow out his candles.
A bit of a wet day so we tripped to Palm Beach for a walk and lunch.
The lighthouse was almost burnt by a bush fire a month or so back so the greenery was rather spare.
And no walk in the rain is complete without jumping in a muddy puddle.
Today was Isabel’s concert. Dressed up to the nines as a ladybird.
And here is the official photo!
It was an Alice in Wonderland event!
And it all went really well.
Another birthday and a beautiful day out in the country.
We even got Isabel in a pedalo!
Isabel’s Little Kickers class
We went up to Palm Beach today and after a little picnic walked up to the lighthouse.
And we got a chance to climb to the top of it.
And see the wonderful view.
And we even saw a whale from the top. The blob on the right is a boat. The blob on the left was the whale having a blow.
And we saw a pod of dolphins on the way down. But Isabel was quite happy the bear in the cave was an imaginary one.
A trip back to NZ for a few days.
The girls had haircuts.
And we managed to get a little skiing in. A blue sky day at Ruapehu.
I even got a bike ride in, and skinned my knee pretending to be “young dad” on a scooter…
A great few days…
And here is a link to Iz blowing out 4 candles.
