Going to the Zoo

A beautiful autumn day and a trip to the local zoo with the best view over the city from near the giraffes. Clear blue sky, yachts on the harbour and the bridge in the background.

First stop was the seal show where they balanced balls on their noses and splashed Isabel to yelps of delight as we were in the front row.

And a real favourite were the gorillas, especially the baby one clinging to the mummy in the middle of the picture. They had been enticed out of their home by watermelon.

We saw pandas, elephants, lions, tigers, hippos, zebras… and ducks and sheep. And we had a trip on a gondala before having to say goodbye to the seals, gorillas and elephants.

Before we knew it 5 hours had passed and none of us had fallen asleep.
